FUE-SFET using beard hair to fix scar

fue hair restoration

Hair Loss Level:
Hair transplantation Scar from Hair Transplantation results from Strip Surgery Repair

Surgery:

The patient had undergone the follicular unit strip surgery (FUSS) at a clinic in Canada. While his result in the recipient area was fine he wanted the option of keeping his hair short, but was unable to do so without the scar showing. Dr. Umar literally obliterated the appearance of the hair transplant scar vexing the patient using 1000 beard derived grafts by FUE – SFET. Dr Umar is in the forefront of the beard hair transplantation procedure. Dr. Umar has been perform facial hair transplantation and body hair transplantation ( BHT ) using SFET for half a decade having pioneered the process and inventing special tools for the procedure, he has perfected the process with which he has produced results like this in his los angeles California office in Redondo beach.

Lessons:
The hair loss patient is often concerned about his receding hairline. When looking for solutions, they often are short on research, and the doctors that like to perform the strip type of hair transplant often do not do a very good job of explaining the pros and cons of the procedure. The appearance and effect of the strip scar is often minimized and terms like paper thin scars are thrown around during consultation. The patient is either not informed or chooses not to recognize the possibility of widening of the scar and the life long inconveniences it portends. The patient with a wide strip scar has to keep his hair long to avoid exposure, and remains ever conscious of the wind and water. Swimming is often avoided for the same reason. Also patients are often told by the FUT strip surgery proponents; “why have a transplant if only to cut the hair short” This red herring of a statement neglects the fact that to the individual with thinning hair, keeping a short hair cut is key. Cutting the hair on the sides and back reduces the contrast in density between the back-sides and the thinning top. With shorter haircuts, the need for more grafts on the top is minimized. On the flip side, keeping a long dense side and back maximizes the appearance of baldness on the top and the patient is thus forced to require even more and more hair transplants to add density to the top in an attempt to match the density on the side and back of the head. If you have a hair transplant scar from a hair restoration procedure using the follicular unit strip surgery method, you are likely to be caught in this vicious cycle. Follicular unit extraction ( FUE ) avoids the problem of linear scars.
