If you have ever tried looking up celebrity hair transplants on Google, one name that often comes up is Gordon Ramsey. In fact, he has even been listed as having one of the best hair restoration results among high profile males.
For those of you who may not be familiar with who Gordon Ramsey is, he is a chef, restaurateur and TV personality (from shows like Hell’s Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares).
Take Action During the Early Stages of Hair Loss Like Gordon Ramsay
According to the UK’s Daily Mail, the star revealed the results of his procedure for the first time around January of 2011 on set while filming an episode of his reality show. He had been photographed with a black surgical cap, leaving a hair transplant clinic in Beverly Hills. However, Ramsey didn’t seem to look drastically different than he did before. Georgina Littlejohn, who wrote the article, mentioned that his procedure may have been done to prevent more obvious signs of hair loss in the future.
According to Daily Mail, Ramsey had undergone a Follicular Unit Extraction procedure. This is where healthy growing follicles are removed individually from areas of the head and then inserted into the areas where more hair is desired.
His before and after pictures look strikingly similar. Part of this may be due to his hair style where the front pieces tend to distract from the actual hairline. It is difficult to pinpoint what changes were made. But from the images, it does seem that he had a sharping progressing widow’s peak that seemed to look a little flatter after his procedure.
A similar surgery was performed on a patient here at DermHair Clinic. Nape hair was used to create the softness that is needed for a natural looking hairline edge.
