What Is the downtime after FUE hair transplant ?
A. After an FUE hair transplant surgery, one can expect the following:
Scabs in both the donor and the recipient areas of your head. The donor areas will have scabs from the tiny FUE punches. These will remain for about 7-10 days.
The recipient area will have scabs from the slits created to insert the follicles. These will remain for about 7-14 days. After the fourteenth day, most people can feel confident about going out in public without a hat.
During the first 7-10 days the follicles will take root and become more situated as new blood vessels start to form around them (i.e. neovascularization).
New growth usually emerges around the fourth month after your surgery. Prior to this, you may notice old hair shafts shedding. This is normal and indicates that new hairs are starting to develop and surface. The full extent of your results can be seen by the 18th month
